Oil cantilever pumps modernizationThe upgrading involves the following: the pump's standard power unit with rolling bearings and face seals is replaced with a bearing seal block (BSB), combining two single face seals (contour and atmospheric) in a single housing between which radial and axial sliding bearings are installed.

FEATURES

 

  • Face seals and sliding bearings are combined into a single block to ensure operability and emergency protection.
  • Radial and axial bearings are placed in cavity formed by means of block body and seals, making the block hermetically tight on both sides.
  • Block lubrication and cooling are performed with the help of clean barrier fluid, whose circulation is carried out by built-in impeller.
  • Comparing to the original pump, the shaft cantilever is significantly reduced, and the distance between the bearings is increased, significantly improving the pump's vibration characteristics.
  • A refrigerator is installed in the packing chamber of the pump at pump fluid temperatures ranging from 150°C to 400°C, reducing the temperature effect on the BSB elements along the shaft.

Currently, standard typical unit sizes have been developed that can be applied to nearly the entire line-up of pumps with drive powers ranging from 10 to 800 kW.

Please, note that R&PC «ANOD», Ltd not only upgrades old pumps but also manufactures new 5-ANGK series pumping units with flow parts from both domestic and foreign manufacturers using bearing seal blocks.
